Helice formosensis

Characteristics

The yellow-green Helicid crab is carnivorous. These crabs are often seen preying on other fiddler crabs, as well as foraging on animal carcasses or plant fragments. Sometimes, the Helicid crab even enter other individuals’ burrows and then come out after a while, continuing their seemingly aimless wandering.

Distribution

The Taiwanese marsh crab can be seen around grassy mudflats at Gaomei Wetlands.
